Rocker switch is the development trend of electronic switch manufacturing industry, and its full name is rocker switch. Its structure is roughly the same as that of the knob switch, except that the knob is changed to the ship type.  The power switch of electronic equipment is a rocker switch, and its contacts are divided into single pole single throw and double pole double throw. Other switches are equipped with led lights.

Test method for service life of rocker switch:

Mainly measure the number of switches until they are damaged. If a small motor is not used to manually drive the eccentric switch, use a counter to record the number of times! The switch requires safety certification. CQC is used for products sold domestically. For products sold abroad, it depends on which country, such as UL in the United States, Carl and VDE in Canada, ENEC, TUV and CE in European countries.

Common faults and problems of rocker switch:

Rocker switch, which is very common when the red light is on. Sometimes you can’t close it, you just can’t bounce back, and you often jump in the air.

Troubleshooting:

There is a metal sheet inside the rocker switch, and there is a spring fulcrum in the center. The spring displacement and plastic support are aging and deformed. If the switch fails, please cut off the power supply and try to decompose it. If the plastic sheet is not damaged, it may be restored. The zero line inside the switch is straight through and has nothing to do with the switching element. Therefore, if the switch jumps empty, the insulating layer of the zero line of the switch will be damaged. Damaged parts can be cut off and rewired. Take care to ensure insulation. Or there may be a short circuit at the pin of the indicator light. Just rewire it.

1. For the convenience of household use at ordinary times, the rocker switch is proposed to be installed on the right side of the entrance. As far as the habits of the vast majority of people are concerned, it is customary to use the left hand when carrying items into the door to explore and turn on the light. Then installing it on the right can make daily life more convenient.

2. The surface mounted rocker switch socket shall be more than 1.8m above the ground, and the concealed rocker switch socket shall not be less than 0.3m above the ground. If the installation of rocker switch socket is too low and the floor is towed, the rocker switch socket is easy to be contaminated with water and electric leakage accidents will occur.

3. The kitchen is a “large household” using rocker switch sockets, which can not only meet the power supply of kitchen electrical equipment such as rice cooker, induction cooker, microwave oven, microwave oven and disinfection box, but also consider the configuration position of these electrical equipment and the correspondence of sockets.

4. In order to adapt to the most comfortable bending position of human body, it is recommended to set the commonly used rocker switch socket 30 ~ 35 cm away from the floor.

5. Nowadays, people have a growing demand for survivability. The distance between two rocker switch sockets on each wall of the living room and bedroom shall not exceed 2.5m, and at least one spare rocker switch socket shall be installed within 0.6m of the wall corner to avoid the shortage of rocker switch sockets in the future.
